Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of StudyFor (the "Service"), operated by StudyFor ("we," "us," "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

1. Who can use StudyFor

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under 18, you confirm you have a parent or guardian's permission to use the Service. You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account.

2. Plans, credits, and billing

StudyFor offers a Free plan and two paid subscription plans (Premium and Advanced), each with a monthly credit allowance that determines how much you can use AI-powered features (tutoring, quizzes, cheat sheets, exams, and document analysis). Specific credit amounts, limits, and pricing are shown on our Pricing page and may change with notice as described in Section 8.

• Paid plans are billed monthly or yearly in advance through our payment processor, Stripe. We do not store your card details ourselves.
• Credits reset each billing cycle and do not roll over or accumulate.
• You can cancel a paid subscription at any time from your billing settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — we don't provide prorated refunds for partial periods, except where required by law.
• We reserve the right to apply reasonable daily usage limits, even on paid plans, to prevent abuse and keep the Service available for everyone.

3. AI-generated content

StudyFor uses third-party AI models to generate explanations, quiz questions, cheat sheets, exams, and study material summaries. This content is generated automatically and, despite our efforts, can be incomplete, outdated, or factually wrong.

• AI-generated content is provided for study and educational purposes only. It is not a substitute for instruction from a qualified teacher, and it is not professional, medical, legal, or financial advice.
• You are responsible for independently verifying important facts, dates, quotations, and calculations before relying on them — including before an exam or graded assignment.
• We do not guarantee that AI-generated content is accurate, complete, or appropriate for any specific curriculum, exam board, or academic standard.

4. Acceptable use and content moderation

Every prompt you submit is automatically screened before being processed. You agree not to use StudyFor to:

• Submit illegal, dangerous, sexually explicit, or hateful content, or content involving weapons, self-harm, or child exploitation.
• Attempt to circumvent usage limits, credit costs, or moderation, including through automated scripts or bots.
• Upload material you don't have the right to share, or use the Service to plagiarize or misrepresent AI-generated work as your own where your institution prohibits it — academic integrity is your responsibility.
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or resell access to the Service.

If a request is flagged by our content safety check, it will be rejected and any credits that would have been spent are not charged. We may suspend or terminate accounts that repeatedly violate this section.

5. Uploaded and submitted content

Any notes, text, or files you submit are treated by our systems as data to be processed on your behalf, not as instructions to our AI systems, and we do not knowingly act on instructions embedded in content you upload. You retain ownership of what you submit. By submitting content, you grant us a limited license to process it solely to provide the Service to you.

6. Your content and our content

You own the quizzes, cheat sheets, notes, and other material generated through your use of the Service. We own the Service itself — its design, code, and branding. You may not copy or redistribute the platform itself.

7. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in fraud or abuse (including chargeback abuse), or pose a security risk to the Service or other users.

8. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. If we make material changes, we'll make reasonable efforts to notify you (such as an in-app notice or email) before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including reliance on AI-generated content. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
